Google has introduced Gemini 3.7 Flash, its most intelligent workhorse model yet for coding and agentic workflows. The release lands just three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash and is a direct result of developer feedback, with substantial gains across software engineering, knowledge work, and web development. It ships at an introductory price of roughly half the original 3.6 Flash cost per million tokens.
Benchmarks show strong progress. 3.7 Flash scores 43.6 percent on FrontierCode 1.1 Main, up from 34.4 percent, and 65.3 percent on DeepSWE v1.1 versus 49.0 percent for its predecessor, with higher first-pass code accuracy and better debugging. In web development it reaches an Elo of 1588 on WebDev Arena versus 1538, generating functional layouts and feature-complete apps in fewer prompts. For knowledge work, it improves on the GDP.pdf benchmark from 22.0 percent to 34.0 percent and on AutomationBench from 17.0 percent to 30.4 percent.
The model also powers Gemini Spark, Google's 24/7 personal agent for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in over 160 countries, with improved tool use across Workspace apps. Early customer feedback highlights significantly better results than 3.6 Flash at lower cost. The introductory pricing runs through the end of the year before standard rates apply from January 2027.
