The EU AI Act's obligations on AI models officially became enforceable today, making Brussels the world's most assertive AI regulator. What changes in practice? Providers of general-purpose models must publish detailed documentation, including summaries of training data, and implement systemic risk management for models that could pose public safety risks. Non-compliance can lead to penalties of up to 7 percent of global annual turnover.
